India Celebrates Former Prez Dr Kalam On His Birth Anniversary

India celebrates the ‘missle man’ and former Indian President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on his birth anniversary.

Today marks former Indian President – APJ Abdul Kalam’s – 88th birth anniversary. Recognised as one of the visionary leaders of the country, Dr Kalam is referred to as the ‘Missle Man’ of India due to his contribution to science and the Indian Space programme. The former President was awarded the Bharat Ratna.

‘India Salutes Dr APJ Abdul Kalam’

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished the former President of India on his birth anniversary.

The United Nations has declared 15 October, his birthday, as World Students Day for his contribution towards education.
