EPF passbook is a document that is made by the contribution of the employee as well as the employer in EPF (Employees Provident Fund) and EPS (Employee Pension Scheme) accounts.

The contribution made by the employee every month is listed in the passbook. Any interest deposited in the beneficiary's account is also listed in the passbook. People having multiple EPF accounts are supposed to have a separate passbook that can be accessed by using a specific member id after logging into the account. Here are the steps to download the EPF member passbook:

Check How to Download EPF Member Passbook

  1. Visit the Member Passbook Page on the official website of EPFO at passbook.epfindia.gov.in/MemberPassBook/Login
  2. Enter the Universal Account Number and password and click login.
  3. Member id linked to the EPF account will be displayed on the screen.
  4. Click on the EPF member id under ‘Select Member ID to View Passbook’
  5. After clicking, it will redirect to a new tab in PDF format.
  6. The user can then download the passbook for future reference.

Check How the Passbook is Updated

The EPF passbook is updated as soon as the contribution is made by the employee as well as the employer every month. In case if people find that the EPF for a particular month is not added, it is advised that the person should wait for a few days and check by logging in the portal to see the updated passbook.
