Pratyusha Banerjee, the 24-year-old actress best known for her role in Balika Vadhu, was found dead on Friday in her apartment. The death was later confirmed as suicide by the police.
Co-actors and fans took to various social media platforms to express their shock and grief over Banerjee’s sudden death. However, Dolly Bindra’s insensitive actions on social media triggered a strong response from the online community.

Sad and really very hurting to know about Pratusha Banerjee today. She’s no more as I was there at the hospital to see her after I spoke to her mom as her mom is in Jamshedpur coming tomorrow. However, what has made people angry is a leaked sound-clip of a phone call that Dolly Bindra made to Pratyusha’s mother.
Many viewed this as a deliberate publicity stunt by Bindra.
