2. State To Amend Law For Vacating Rickety Bldgs

A string of building collapses in the city has prompted Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to consider amending the existing redevelopment laws for evicting people living in dilapidated structures to prevent such mishaps in the future.

The CM said that if a structure is declared dilapidated and if 51per cent of its tenants have vacated the premises, the rest will be moved out forcefully after making arrangements for their rehabilitation.
