Kulwinder Kaur’s husband, Rajinder Singh, was found dead in Malout in Muktsar district of Punjab under suspicious conditions. Police have sent the body for post-mortem to a government hospital in Malout.

Kaur was a 22-year-old dancer who was killed when at a marriage function in Punjab's Bathinda district, a drunk man, enraged at being refused a dance with her on stage, fired at her from close range.
