Congress-led UDF Govt to Launch E-initiatives in Kerala

Congress-led UDF govt will launch e-Governance initiatives as part of Digital India launched by PM Modi, in Kerala.

The Congress-led UDF government in Kerala will launch e-Governance initiatives, including e-KYC for Aadhaar Project, Citizen Portal for e-Office Project, and e-Learning Portal as part of Digital India programme launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 1.

State Minister for Industries and IT P K Kunhalikutty would launch the programmes on July 6, an official release said.

E-Office was introduced in all departments in the secretariat in August 2013. So far it has been implemented at 21 departments either fully or partially.

Another major initiative is e-learning platform that offers a learning environment vastly different from the traditional classroom and helps the department,trainers and course creators to set up an online classroom setting with opportunities for rich interaction and collaboration with their students, the release added.
