The trial in the Chandrabose murder case has ended with the Thrissur district sessions court hearing the final arguments of the counsel for the accused Mohammed Nisham.

The sessions court judge K P Sudheer, is reportedly set to pronounce the verdict on January 20.

On January 29, 2015, Nisham had allegedly run over security guard Chandrabose with his Hummer vehicle when the latter failed to open the gate promptly. Chandrabose died on February 16 in a private hospital after he was admitted with major injuries.

The court trial lasted 79 days. Meanwhile, Nisham has given an appeal in Supreme Court to extend the trial period. SC will consider the appeal on January 15.

The Times of India reported that the defence lawyer in his concluding argument said that it was not a murder and the victim suffered injuries when he jumped in front of the vehicle driven by the accused and claimed that Chandrabose died due to medical negligence.
