Former Union minister and BJP MP Bandaru Dattatreya’s 21-year-old son, Vaishnav, passed away due to a massive heart attack on Wednesday, 23 May, the The Times of India reported.
Vaishnav was studying medicine from the Medicity Medical College in Hyderabad. He suffered the heart attack after having dinner, reported TOI. However, NDTV reported that the third-year MBBS student collapsed while having dinner with his family.
He was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead around midnight.
According to NDTV, Dattatreya was informed about his son's death in the morning as he himself is a heart patient.
