Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) chief Praveen Togadia has lent his voice to the vehement chorus demanding actor Salman Khan and AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi be immediately “shipped to Pakistan”.
The duo had made strong statements in support of 1993 blasts accused Yakub Memon, declaring that the latter should not be hanged. Salman, incidentally, after being chastised by his father, later retracted the tweets and came out with a series of apologies on Twitter.
That act of contrition, however, has been lost on the ireful Togadia who has lambasted both Khan and Owaisi, saying that such people were “fit for Pakistan”. Those supporting Memon were essentially “encouraging terrorism”, was his strong statement.

Togadia didn’t stop there, however. Speaking to a news channel, he went on to talk of India’s policy towards Pakistan – calling it a “failure”. In the light of the Gurdaspur attack, he claimed that it was imperative Modi drop the ‘saree, shawl’ diplomacy act and instead adopt an “iron will” like Indira Gandhi’s whilst dealing with Pakistan.
India should stop all dialogue with Pakistan and start preparing to teach a lesson to the country, which is sending AK 47-armed Jihadists for carrying out attacks.

He claimed that it was India’s inactivity that had fanned the fires of terrorism.
India’s foreign policy with regard to Pakistan has failed. India’s failure in punishing the plotters of Mumbai attacks encouraged them (Pakistan) to carry out more attacks in our country.

Describing Indira Gandhi as a leader with a “strong will”, the VHP leader said Modi should show same determination while dealing with Pakistan. Referring to the 1971 war with Pakistan – which had led to the division and creation of Bangladesh, he said,
Former PM India Gandhi had shown a strong will and Modi should also show such will and divide Pakistan into three pieces.

Asked how he saw Modi’s “56-inch chest” comment in relation to Pakistan, he said, “Such remarks are sufficient to come to power but when you are in power, your actions speak.” Asking Modi to prove his “mettle by action”, the VHP leader said, “I believe he will allow a cross border strike in PoK and Pakistan to bring back wanted terrorists.”

“People of the nation are in a state of shock and anger after the Punjab attack and it is time for the government to act,” he said.
Togadia also demanded strict action against pro-Pakistan separatist leaders in Jammu and Kashmir, deploring the fact that Kashmiri pandits had still not been rehabilitated in the state. He also added that it was time now for the BJP to decide whether it should continue its alliance with PDP or not.
