Ever since Arnab Goswami reprimanded ‘sections of media’ for siding with Pakistan and asked viewers to expose their ‘anti-national’ stance, journalists across the country have spoken out against his rhetoric.

Barkha Dutt spoke strongly against him in her now viral Facebook post where she criticised Arnab for ‘exhorting the government to shut down sections of the media.’ Even Rajdeep Sardesai wrote about the tussle. And now, Arun Shourie has spoken out.

Speaking with The Quint at the ‘Talk Journalism’ seminar in Jaipur, the former journalist and union minister said Arnab’s rhetoric should be ignored and that divisive journalism should be answered by a ‘better kind of journalism’.

At the same event, The Quint interviewed NDTV’s Ravish Kumar who lashed out at the self-appointed “guardians of nationalism” – and firmly supported Barkha.
