And now, she is at weddings too, right on the foreheads of couples getting married.
Celebrations to mark the AIADMK chief and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s 68th birthday, which falls on February 24, have already begun in Tamil Nadu.
One such event was held on Friday when AIADMK cadre organised a mass marriage ceremony in Udumalaipettai in Coimbatore, where 68 marriages were conducted for her 68th birthday.
While Amma was not present in person to bless the newly weds, her presence was more than evident at the occasion.
The party cadre made sure Amma would oversee the weddings in the form of bands, which bore her picture, that couples wore on their foreheads.
