- Aam Aadmi Party MLA, Pawan Sharma has been convicted by Rohini Court in North West Delhi on 29 August and charged under sections 287 (negligent conduct with respect to machinery) and 304 (punishment for culpable homicide not amounting to murder). Sharma has been charged in connection with the death of a labourer working in a factory.
- Sharma who is an MLA from Adarsh Nagar has been sentenced to 18 months in jail and fined Rs 1 Lakh by the court in a case that was first registered at the Samaypur Badli Police station in 2009.
- This is the second blow in less than 24 hours for AAP. Late on Wednesday, AAP supremo, Arvind Kejriwal sacked cabinet minister, Sandeep Kumar over a leaked “sex video.”
