A tip-off from Dr Anand Rai to the police in 2013 helped blow the lid off the Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh. Now he is looking to establish his own political party to unseat the BJP government in the state.
Rai had said last year that he and his family were being harassed by the Madhya Pradesh government, and being transferred continuously.
Rai, a former RSS activist is set to ally with the AAP and the Congress.
Dr Anand Rai told The Telegraph he was confident his proposed Madhya Pradesh Swabhiman Party would emerge as a political force in the 2018 Assembly polls. “There’s a need for a political outfit to dislodge the BJP,” the 39-year-old ophthalmologist said, not ruling out an alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party and a tacit understanding with the Congress.Report in The Telegraph
