New Delhi, Jan 29 (IANS) Chief Economic Advisor Arvind Subramanian on Monday expressed confidence that at least one or two states will implement universal basic income (UBI) over the next two years."There has been a lot of discussion on universal basic income over the last year. The discussions are going on even at present. I can bet you that at least one or two states will implement it within the next two years," Subramanian said while addressing a press conference after Finance Minister Arun Jaitley tabled India's Economic Survey for 2017-18 in the Parliament.In last year's Economic Survey, the CEA had suggested the idea of universal basic income for everyone to cover their basic needs.--IANSvv/rn
