Seafood, Sun, Selfies and No Security: The Gandhis Unwind in Goa
Mother-son took a sun, sand, seafood and selfie filled vacation in Goa after the 26 January celebrations in Delhi.
Work life and hectic schedules tire us all, and politicians are no exception. With the election season coming up, things are bound to get stressful. As a result, Congress President Rahul Gandhi and his mother, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi took off to Goa for a three-day “private visit,” sources told IANS. The duo took a special flight there and stayed in a five-star resort in South Goa.
Goa-based dentist, Rachna Fernandes, who happened to be at the same restaurant as the duo said that the Gandhis were having a quiet lunch with no security guard.
“When I asked for a photograph with him, he said he would oblige after he settles the bill,” Fernandes said. Once the bill was paid by him, Rahul posed for a picture with her.
“He is too nice to be in the bad, bad world of politics,” Fernandes told IANS. She further took to Instagram to share their picture and praise Rahul for his charm and modesty.
According to a Goa Congress spokesperson, the two have no official engagements scheduled during their three-day trip.
