Former media moguls Indrani and Peter Mukerjea are currently in jail for the alleged murder of Indrani’s daughter, Sheena Bora. This, however, didn’t stop Peter from writing a one-page letter filled with birthday wishes and a big hug for his wife.
I will pray that you can prove your innocence and get clear of this nightmare in good time.
When in court, Peter and Indrani rarely interact, reports the Times of India. Therefore, this hand-written letter dated 3 January will come as a surprise to many.
Peter has denied any wrong-doing in the case and so, has applied for bail for the second time. The hearing for this is underway.

Mumu, my dearest, today is a special day in your life and mine too, therefore. Your birthday is a day we have always spent together since we met and this is the first year we’re so close and yet so far!
Though the letter was written to wish his wife, Indrani, a lot of the letter referenced their current situation.
God is great and will see an end to this, and like Romeo & Juliet, we will hopefully see each other soon – in court or at home one day...I hope it reaches you and gives you a moment of joy in all the sadness that everyone is going through – but most of all you and me in the process.
