- Pakistani hackers tried to mount attacks on the Delhi Police's website post surgical strikes by the Indian Army in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, but in vain.
- A police officer said that their attempts were not successful as their systems are “hack-proof”. They tried gaining access to the GPS of the PCRs.
- Before 26 January, hackers had tried to break into the system, but the attempt was foiled and the website was shut down as a precautionary measure and was later restored.
- A special investigation team traced the hackers to Russia and Germany and the security was bolstered.
