- Former Bihar School Examination Board (BESB) Secretary Niwas Chandra Tiwari was on Monday arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in connection with the infamous Bihar toppers scam.
- This comes immediately after the SIT arrested another former BSEB Secretary Harihar Nath Jha in connection with the case.
- The SIT has already arrested 21 people in the case. Among those arrested are a former JD(U) MLA, Bishun Rai college principal Bachcha Rai and ‘topper’ Rubi Rai.
