Five Harkat-ul-Mujahideen Militants Arrested in Kashmir

Security forces arrested five militants belonging to the Harkat-ul-Mujahideen in Sopore area of North Kashmir.

Security forces arrested five militants belonging to the Harkat-ul-Mujahideen (HuM) in the Sopore area of North Kashmir. The organisation was reportedly planning a terror attack on the Republic Day.

The J&K police force and Indian Army’s 52 Rashtriya Rifles launched a search in North Kashmir to track down the HuM members and also recovered arms and ammunition from their possession.

So far the NIA has arrested 14 suspects with terror links from several parts of India, with mere days to go till Republic Day.
