Elano Blumer, captain of the ISL winning team Chennaiyin FC was arrested by Goa police, for allegedly assaulting the co-owner of FC Goa team Dattaraj Salgaonkar.
He was later released on bail and flew out of the country on Monday morning.

The incident took place when the winning team, Chennaiyin FC was celebrating its victory on the ground.
Srinivas Dempo, the other co-owner of FC Goa, who was present during the incident has stated that Elano came out of the team dugout and started making fun of FC Goa players.
This unwanted behavior forced Salgaokar to question Elano, who then allegedly assaulted him.
Salgaonkar has formally lodged a complaint with us and we have placed Elano under arrest. We are inquiring into the incident. The formal complaint is lodged based on which the FIR is filed.CL Patil, Margao Police Inspector
Goa’s chief minister Laxmikant Parsekar who watched the ISL final claimed that he noticed Elano assaulting Salgaonkar.
I left the stadium when, apart from poor refereeing, I noticed the Chennaiyin FC captain insulting, abusing and assaulting Mr. Salgaonkar. I did not find it worthwhile to even wait for the prize distribution function. I was invited for the match by Mr. Salgaonkar.Laxmikant Parsekar told The Hindu
The captain of winning team, Elano has been booked under section 341 (wrongful restrain), 323 (causing hurt) and 504 (intentional insult to provoke breach of peace). The matter will be further inspected by the local authorities with Elano set to face the action.
