After Jats and Patidars, Now Rajputs in UP Seek OBC Tag for Quota
Rajputs, members of the ‘martial’ community in Bijnor raised the demand.
First, it was the Patidars, then the Jats and now Rajputs have asked to be included in the OBC category in Uttar Pradesh so they can be eligible for reservations in educational institutions and government jobs. Members of the ‘martial’ community in Bijnor raised the demand.
Rajputs account for 7 percent of UP’s population. Many sections of Rajputs are extremely backward and need to be integrated with the mainstream. We will organise massive protests in the state (for quota).
