The result for Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Tier-I 2018 Examination is expected to release today, on 20 August, by the Staff Selection Commission. The SSC CGL Tier-1 2018 result will be uploaded on the official website of SSC. The candidates will be able to check their results at https://ssc.nic.in/ once the result is declared.
The Tier-1 examination was conducted from 4 to 13 June 2019.
The candidates will require their roll number/registration number in order to check their results. Those who clear the Tier-1 exam will be eligible for the Tier-2 examination. As per the official notification, the Staff Selection Commission or SSC will conduct the Tier-II examination for CGL from 11 to 13 September 2019. The examination will be conducted in online mode.
SSC CGL examination is conducted in 4 Tiers-
- Tier-1- Questions are based on four subjects namely-Mathematics, Reasoning, English and General Knowledge. Each subject is allotted 50 marks.
- Tier-2- Candidates who clear Tier-1 exam has to give Tier-2 examination. Questions are asked from Mathematics and English and both the subjects are allotted 100 marks each.
- Tier-3- This online exam is descriptive in nature. candidates have to write an essay/ application/ letter/ report. The exam paper is for 100 marks.
- Tier-4- Those who clear all the previous examinations have to appear for the Tier-4 which is a skill test. The marks for Tier-4 are not included while preparing the merit list.
More than 25.97 lakh candidates had registered for the SSC CGL Tier-1 out of which about 8.34 lakh candidates had appeared for the examination.
The examination was re-conducted by SSC for about 4,825 candidates on 19 June 2019 as they had faced some technical problems during the exam conducted on 4 June.
