Due to the allegations of the paper being leaked, the Supreme Court had put a stay on the declaration of the 2017 result on 31 August 2018. The Supreme Court had also suggested conducting the examination again by National testing Agency or CBSE. Later, the center had denied the need of re-examination as the leak was extremely localised in their opinion and strict actions had been taken against those involved. The Supreme Court lifted the ban on releasing the results on 9 May.
