Beware! Coal India Recruitment Notice for Jobs Is Actually Fake

Fake news is everywhere these days, and it’s getting tougher to identify genuine information. Recently, the Recruitment Division of Coal India Limited has issued a public notice making people aware of a fake job alert issued. The notice under the headline “Beware of Fraudsters” states that an employment notice for the recruitment of 88,585 posts issued in the name of South Central Coalfields Ltd. (SSCL) which claims to be a company under Coal India Limited and Ministry of Coal, Government of India is fake.

In the notice, Coal India Limited clearly mentions that it does not have a subsidiary company under the name of South Central Coalfields Ltd (SCCL). This company is fake and it is advised that people do not fall prey to this fake employment notice. The notice also states that the official website of Coal India Limited is https://www.coalindia.in/ only and for further information regarding employment, candidates can refer to the official websites of the subsidiary companies which are:

  1. Bharat Coking Coal Limited
  2. Central Coalfields Limited
  3. Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited
  4. Eastern Coalfields Limited
  5. Mahanadi Coalfields Limited
  6. Northern Coalfields Limited
  7. South Eastern Coalfields Limited
  8. Western Coalfields Limited

SCCL or South Central Coalfields Ltd. which claims to be a subsidiary company of Coal India Limited had also created a webpage. Coal India Limited (CIL) is the single largest coal producing company in the world and produces over 80% of India's overall coal production.
