The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the results for the Class 10 exams on Monday, 6 May. The top three regions are Trivandrum (99.85 percent), Chennai (99 percent) and Ajmer (95.89 percent).Trivandrum and Chennai region bagged the top two spots with a pass percentage of 99.85 and 99, while Guwahati recorded the lowest with 74.49 percent.There was an overall increase of 4.40 percent in the number of students who cleared the exams this year, compared to 2018.Girl students have fared better than boys by 2.31 percent.West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also congratulated the students.Taru Jain in Jaipur, one of the students who secured 499 out of 500 marks in CBSE Class X examinations said that she wanted to pursue Economics (Hons) from Delhi University.“I feel really good, used to study for 4-5 hours. Way to go Zoe," Irani tweeted.Performance of Delhi government-run schools in the CBSE Class 10 examination has improved by 2.68 percentage points this year, an official said.As per the data, the total pass percentage in schools run by the Delhi Government in the CBSE Class 10 examination stands at 71.58 per cent, he said.
