In a shocking move, former Infosys CEO and MD Vishal Sikka's wife, Vandana Sikka, has quit Infosys Foundation. Vandana Sikka served as the chairperson of Infosys Foundation USA, for two and a half years.

In her resignation email which she also shared on blogging platform, Medium, Sikka said,

Today, I am writing this email to let you know that I have decided to move on from my role as the chairperson of Infosys Foundation USA. But as we know, a person’s passions are not bound by the entities that house us temporarily.

Since the starting of this month, Infosys saw consecutive resignations as CEO Vishal Sikka and co-chairman of the board and Ravi Venkatesan left their positions. However, with these exits, former CEO Nandan Nilekani re-joined Infosys as a non-executive chairman of the company.

Vishal Sikka had blamed his resignation on constant wrangling and allegations from founder Narayan Murthy’s end.

There has been a continuous drumbeat of these allegations... absolutely sickening and everyday you wake up and there is some news story or the other. It has gotten increasingly malicious and personal.

Responding to the former CEO’s allegation, Murthy had clarified that he never commented on Sikka’s work. “ my problem is with governance at Infosys; I believe fault lies with the board,” said Murthy.
