Brokerage Credit Suisse expects public spending to be hiked and personal income tax slabs rationalised in the Union Budget tomorrow. It also expects the tax net to be widened and service tax to be imposed on many new services, as 61% of them are currently not taxed. Increased RailwaySpending to be Funded Significantly by Institutional Finance
The nearly doubling of the planned Railway outlay to 100,011 crore will be funded to a large extent by institutional finance.
