Nurse Not Infected With Wuhan Strain of Coronavirus: Indian Consulate in Jeddah

An Indian nurse working in Saudi Arabia has tested positive for coronavirus, but with a different strain from the one that has claimed 18 lives in China, the Indian Consulate in Jeddah said on Thursday.

Earlier in the day, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs V Muraleedharan said an Indian nurse working at Al-Hayat hospital in Saudi Arabia was tested positive for coronavirus.

Trump Invites Netanyahu to US for Peace Plan Talks

US Vice President Mike Pence on behalf of President Donald Trump on Thursday invited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his main election rival to Washington next week to discuss Donald Trump's long-awaited Middle East peace plan.

The White House said the talks would take place on Tuesday.

"President Trump asked me to extend an invitation to Prime Minister Netanyahu to come to the White House next week to discuss regional issues, as well as the prospect of peace here in the Holy Land", Pence said.

Jharkhand Cabinet Expansion on Friday Postponed on CM's Plea

The expansion of the Hemant Soren ministry slated for Friday has been postponed following a request of the chief minister, Raj Bhavan sources said in Ranchi on Thursday.

"The Cabinet expansion has been postponed on the request of the chief minister. A new date has not been set as the CM has to recommend another date," they said.

Soren called on Governor Droupadi Murmu and urged her to postpone Friday's programme as his mind is "grief-stricken" at the killing of seven villagers at Burugulikera by "Pathalgarhi" movement supporters.
