5.8 Magnitude Quake Hits Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province

A moderate 5.8 magnitude earthquake rocked Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Monday, days after 40 people were killed in a powerful quake in PoK and other parts of the country.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, epicenter of the quake was in the Hindu Kush mountains in Afghanistan, 157 kilometers below the surface of earth.

A fire broke out at Peninsula Park, a commercial building located opposite Yash Raj Film’s studio, in West Mumbai’s Andheri.

The Madhya Pradesh police sought permission from a court in Indore on Monday, 14 October, to obtain voice and handwriting samples of two women accused in the honey-trap and blackmail racket busted in September.

In an application filed before Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Manish Bhatt, Palasia police station officials sought the permission to take handwriting and voice samples of Shweta Vijay Jain (39) and Aarti Dayal (29), both currently in jail.
