A video has emerged where Kashmiri youth are seen heckling and attacking CRPF jawans carrying EVMs while on poll duty in Srinagar. The video shows the Kashmiri youth beating and kicking the jawans and the EVMs they are seen carrying. The video also shows the CRPF jawans stay calm and avoid retaliation though they were armed.
After the video went viral, there has been an outrage on social media. The audacity of the attacks that have not been provoked by the jawans has enraged many.
Police, on Friday, arrested three people for heckling the jawans. J&K DGP SP Vaid said that 11 individuals were identified, five of them arrested, and two others were being questioned. The main accused, however, is still absconding.
