Meanwhile, clashes broke out between Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress supporters in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhind, where bypolls are underway.

According to news agency ANI, Congress workers were attacked and their vehicles vandalised, reportedly by local BJP workers. One Congress supporter claimed that police had helped BJP cadres in capturing polling booths in the area. He also alleged that bullets were fired at him by members of the BJP and that MP Chief Minister Shivraj Chouhan had plotted attacks on him and other Congress workers.
