Security around the Taj Mahal has been beefed up following threats of an attack on the timeless monument. Security agencies were alerted after an image made by the Ahwaal Ummat Media Centre, a pro-Islamic State media group, went viral on social media. The image features a man dressed in military fatigue, standing tall in the backdrop of the Taj. The graphic also carries a text that reads “New Target.”
Reacting to the matter, Uttar Pradesh ADG Daljeet Chowdhary said that all precautionary measures being taken and that the hunt for culprits is underway.
