Voting is underway for the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2019. The third phase is also the largest phase of polling of the ongoing elections.
A total of 117 seats are going to polls in this phase across the country, which includes constituencies from Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, and Odisha.
“Being a citizen of India, it’s my duty to vote because simply criticising the government for their deeds and still not voting seems illogical. As part of the youth of this country, a healthcare professional and a medical leader, I have certain expectations from the government and hence I was very excited and keen to vote for the party that fulfils my expectations up to an extent. Given the present scenario in the country, I personally felt that every one who cares about the nation should step forward and vote for a better future. Because this is a golden opportunity that comes every 5 years, no one should miss it. Vote for change!”Naved Khan
“Voting is important to save democracy and secularism of our country,” says Milind from Gulbarga, Karnataka.
“I voted to elect the right candidate who can create employment for the large number of graduates who are unemployed,” says Mutahir.
“I’m a first time voter in this election and it's our duty to cast a vote in every election. I vote like my country depends on it, because I believe it does,” says first-time voter Shehroj.
Atifur Hussain from Assam too casted his vote, and urged fellow voters to exercise their right.
“I vote every time. As a responsible citizen it is my duty to vote and encourage others to vote,” says Nitin Godbole.
“I have been following the national politics since 2013. After witnessing widespread divisive politics, I felt it was imperative for the youth of India to participate in the political exchange of ideas, and hence I am happy that I could exercise my voting right today. Being a first time voter, I wish for healthy participation of youth in this election.”Saswat Nayak
