Dear Soldier,
I only know of the story of war through the films I’ve watched and books I’ve read, and the stories I’ve heard from my father. I might not be that capable to help you but I will always be quick to do so when I can. I will always vote for leaders whom I feel will do their hardest to take care of you, and I will always be indebted to your service that you have given to us and this motherland.
In a country where patriotism seems to be dwindling, it is especially exciting to see eager men and women seeking to enlist in our military. I will always salute these zealous people who feel a sense of duty to defend our flag. Thank you for being the ones we turn to when tragedy strikes and thank you to the families you leave behind. Their bravery and sacrifices do not go unnoticed. To those families, I say thank you for giving us such wonderful people whose strength I seek to emulate. My Sandesh to a Soldier is a thank you for your undying patriotism.
As a son of an army personnel, I can understand and relate to the feeling where a son gets to meet his father once in years, where a child struggles with fluctuating network when a single call gets connected once in months. One day, I do hope to join hands with you and thank you for your unconditional service to our motherland.
