We Must Strive to Seek Knowledge, Not Chase Marks
During school, there are many phases in which a student feels burdened, but the burden reaches a peak during exams. I wonder what this burden is meant for, as it's just a part of the routine. (Of course, one realises this much later!)
I remember the days my mom used to scold me for not studying, and how my friends were chasing ahead by getting good marks, as it was considered integral to score well to be successful in life. However, that doesn't always mean that marks are everything.
Perhaps marks are a few steps towards success, yet students these days are making it their sole focus to get marks and even teachers are emphasising and also pressurising their students to reach a certain bar. Even the one who is yet to begin the revision process becomes part of this race.
The focus should instead be to work hard and have patience to reach the level one wishes to get at. Marks are temporary but knowledge is permanent. So we must strive to be seekers of knowledge and not chase marks unreasonably.
