On 19 March 1962, fifty-five years ago, Bob Dylan’s first album was released by Columbia Records. Today, Bob Dylan is known as the winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature and his songs ‘Blowin’ in the Wind’ and ‘The Times They Are a-Changin’ are anthems for more than just one generation. But Dylan’s first album didn’t receive much attention and didn’t sell too many records. Nevertheless, as he became more popular, his fans went back to listen to his initial songs and in later years, this album saw re-releases as well.
