This certainly seems a good way to fund one's holiday. Choose a place you want to see and force a story around it so that the chutti seems legit.

Raabta is desperate to make a connection with Budapest, where we meet the principal characters. Saira (Kriti Sanon) is a chocolate maker who can't sleep at night.

A comet comically called "Love Joy " is making its presence felt again after 800 years. There is Delhi boy Shiv (Sushant Singh Rajput) who can't take no for an answer. Zakir Merchant (Jim Sarbh) is a creepy liquor baron who seems as if he is waiting for someone to whisper him his lines.

If the raging hormones of Befikre and the janam janam ka saath old love of Mirzya ever had an illegitimate child, it would be Raabta. It’s a frustrating 154 minute watch where the story takes forever to get downloaded.

The first half can still be tolerated given that Kriti and Sushant do share some chemistry but post interval it unabashedly enters the realm of the bizarre.

Saira justifiably freaks out as her nightmares seem to come to life. She befriends Zakir Merchant and falls for Shiv but soon realises their haunting connection to her dreams as situations eerily similar to her past life threaten to repeat themselves.

No one from director Dinesh Vijan to the main actors have any idea how to get things in control. What should have been a high-intensity drama looks like a fancy dress parade!

There isn't much in Raabta to remember or rave about, yet we can't forget it for the way it managed to do the impossible – waste an actor of the calibre of Rajkumar Rao! Even Deepika Padukone's long legs only tempt us to stage a walk out. 1.5 Quints out of 5.
