(This letter is a part of The Quint’s Father's Day series where readers write their little secrets to their dads.)
My amazing Papa,
Today I want to tell you some things which no one has ever told you. I want to tell you that when you cry your nose twitches. When you hug me and Aryaman (my little brother) your stomach feels like a whoopie cushion. When I scare you, you jump out of your big flappy pajamas. When I kiss you your beard feels very tingly...
You sleep like a Sloth Bear!! You have a hearty, snorty laugh.
When I'm sad, you can turn me into a laughing joker in seconds. You wish to watch every English movie and good soaps (which mostly you can't owing to your working hours) and if you do watch at night half the time you are sleeping...
So slow down Papa, make time for yourself.
When you sleep you tend to rub your nose on the pillow a lot like a puppy. If I wake you up from deep sleep you look like a princess in distress. When I ask you a question I get 10 answers – you are just like a walking encyclopaedia!!
Last but certainly not the least who can forget your great love for FOOD!
I absolutely love all of the above my dear dad, along with your honesty, passion for work, selflessness, jolly nature, ability to become a child with a child and grown up with a grown up!
But this Father's Day, try and make time for yourself to be more healthy as Aru and I need you... ALWAYS.
Happy Father's Day Papa! Stay the way you are because I love it.
Yours lovingly,
Ira
