The man behind the famous ‘Polo shirts’, Ralph Lauren is an american fashion designer, business executive and philanthropist, best known for his brand Ralph Lauren Corporation. Born in Bronx, Ralph has been an icon in the fashion world for a long time. Forbes magazine had estimated his net worth at $5.5 Billion in 2016, making him the 233rd richest person on Earth.
Lauren stepped down as Chief Executive Officer of his company in September 2015 but remains the Executive Chairman and Chief Creative Officer. Lauren is also known for his insane car collection of more than 70 cars. He is in possession of some of the world’s rarest museum-worthy pieces of automobile.
Usher is an American R&B singer, songwriter and actor. Usher released his first self-titled album in 1994 but managed to come into the limelight with his album My Way (1997). Singer of the 2000’s cult song ‘Yeah!’, Usher established himself as one of the best-selling musicians of the 2000s, selling 20 million copies of the ‘Confessions’ album worldwide. He was Justin Beiber’s mentor in his early years and now owns a record label in partnership with the pop sensation.
Usher’s worldwide sales stand at 43 million albums and 75 million records overall, making him one of the best selling music artists of all time. The “international sex symbol” is often considered as one of the most soothing voices in R&B.
Gautam Gambhir is an Indian cricketer, best known for his calm composure on the pitch. He made his international debut against Bangladesh in 2003. He captained the Indian team in six ODIs, winning all of those matches. He scored an impressive 75 from 54 balls in India's win in the final of 2007 World T20 and was the highest Indian scorer in the 2011 Cricket World Cup final, scoring 97 off 122 balls. Gambhir is the only Indian to have scored hundreds in five consecutive Test matches. He is also the only Indian batsman to have scored more than 300 runs in four consecutive Test series. Under Gambhir's captaincy, Kolkata Knight Riders have won the IPL title twice in 2012 and again in 2014.
He was honoured with the Arjuna Award in 2008 by the President of India. In 2009, he was the number one ranked batsman in ICC Test rankings. He was also the recipient of the ICC Test Player of the Year award in the same year.
Hero of the India-Pakistan war of 1971, Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, was an officer of the Indian Army and a posthumous recipient of the Param Vir Chakra, India's highest military decoration for valour in face of the enemy. He died in the Battle of Basantar during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971 where his brave actions earned him his honour.
Khetarpal joined the National Defence Academy in June 1967. He belonged to Foxtrot Squadron where he was the Squadron Cadet Captain of the 38th Course. He subsequently went on to join the Indian Military Academy. In June 1971, Khetarpal was commissioned into the 17 Poona Horse regiment.
