It’s not every day when the MD and CEO of one of India’s biggest private banks tells you how to go about choosing the right life partner. But to everyone’s surprise and delight, Axis Bank’s Shikha Sharma touched upon this topic in her very inspiring convocation speech at IIM Ahmedabad.

Sharma urged students to go beyond the superficial, while choosing a life partner. She fondly spoke of her husband, Sanjaya, an IIM-A alumni like her, and how they share the same core values despite having two distinct personalities. She added that she follows the same principle professionally and hoped this approach would also help the graduating batch.
