Shah Rukh Khan
Even if you’ve been living under a rock, this is one name you can’t not be familiar with! The ‘King of Bollywood’ has been ruling hearts since the early nineties, making his silver screen debut with the Rishi Kapoor-starrer Deewana in 1992. Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) also won the Filmfare Best Male Debut Award for this film.
Over the last 20 years, SRK has played a gamut of roles – from the anti-hero in movies like Baazigar (1993), the obsessive lover in films like Devdas (2002) to more unconventional roles like that of Dr Jehangir Khan, a psychologist, in Dear Zindagi (2016).
Apart from his career in Bollywood, ‘King Khan’ also co-owns the popular IPL cricket team franchise representing the city of Kolkata – Kolkata Knight Riders. SRK turns 52 on 2 November.
David Schwimmer
Does the name ‘Ross Geller’ ring a bell? American actor-director-producer David Schwimmer is better known as ‘Ross’, his character from the evergreen ‘90s sitcom Friends. Although Schwimmer acted in several other TV shows in the 90s, including LA Law, The Wonder Years, NYPD Blue, and Monty, audiences the world over continue to associate him with his character in Friends.
Schwimmer has also acted in Hollywood films like Kissing a Fool (1989), and Six Days, Seven Nights (1989).
As a voice actor, Schwimmer has lent his voice to the much-loved character Melman, the giraffe, in the animated film series Madagascar.
Diana Penty
Diana Penty, who began her career as a model, made her acting debut in the Bollywood film Cocktail, in 2012, starring opposite Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan. The film won her a Filmfare nomination for Best Female Debut. As a model, she has walked the ramp for eminent Indian fashion designers like Wendell Rodricks and Rohit Bal.
Penty was most recently seen in the 2017 crime thriller Lucknow Central, starring opposite actors like Farhan Akhtar.
Marie Antoinette

Marie Antoinette, the last Queen of France before the French Revolution, was born on this day in 1755. While she was initially popular among her people as the wife of King Louis XVI, she was later accused of being promiscuous, which made her fall from grace.
She was also accused of supporting the enemies of France, particularly the Austrians, being a native of the country.
On 14 October 1793, the last Queen of France was convicted of treason and died by the guillotine.
