Navy Day is celebrated to honour the achievements and the service of our naval force. On 4 December 1971, the Indian Navy destroyed four Pakistani vessels, including PNS Khaibar, during Operation Trident. Since then, Navy Day in India is celebrated on 4 December. However, Navy Day is celebrated all over the world on different dates.
