For you, dear lover of flowers, who loves her roses and daffodils and chrysanthemums, couturiers are lovingly affixing the motif onto lehengas.

Just around the time floral print began being splashed around on international fashion week runways in Spring 2013, it also began to be used by Indian designers on traditional clothing pieces.

To say that it is a new trend wouldn’t be entirely accurate: flowers have been a most natural inspiration for designers. But what is exciting is that Indian couture – often weighed down by the heaviness of its own ornate design – is now getting breezier, fresher, and more floral.

Trust me, when you take a look at Bhumika Sharma’s lehengas and anarkalis awash in red roses, you would think spring were already here even if it was only June.

In case you are looking for approval from style superstars, Katrina Kaif has flaunted one of her creations in floral trend too during her promotions for Fitoor.

The label is selling its pink floral lehenga at Pernia’s Pop Up Shop for Rs 1,50,000.

Most of us naturally like flowers. I mean, God must be a very talented designer if he were indeed their creator. And so, it is only natural that other designers have now been using them too in their creations.
