The festival of Chhath (Chhath Puja) starts on 31 October. This festival of four days is celebrated with great pomp across Bihar, Jharkhand and Eastern India. The celebration for Chhath Puja will end today evening as the devotees will be practising the Usha Arghya on 3 November morning.

Arrangements have been made for worship at the ghats. The Delhi government has also decorated the ghats for the devotees. If you are also celebrating Chhath Puja in Delhi, Noida or Ghaziabad this year then check about the nearest ghat where you can celebrate.

Chairman of the Delhi Pilgrimage Development Committee Kamal Bansal says that efforts are being made to ensure that every two-kilometers there is a ghat for the devotees to offer prayers. Small ponds are being built in the parks of DDA, MCD, where devotees will be able to perform Chhath Puja.
