As the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival (KGAF) begins, we found a unique way of touring South Bombay, in an open-air bus! Oh, and it didn’t cost us a thing. As a part of exploring Mumbai through unconventional means, KGAF is holding two bus tours every day, till the art festival is on. Tickets are to be collected in the morning, and the tours are held in the evening.

SoBo is home to quite a few heritage spots that were built during the British Raj. The bus tour took about an hour (it could have been more, but the traffic gods were kind to us) and covered everything one might want to see on a trip to Bombay.

The spots you will see on this bus tour:

  • Gateway of India
  • The Taj Hotel
  • Colaba Causeway
  • Marine Drive
  • NCPA
  • Asiatic Library
  • CST/Victoria Terminus
  • Horniman Circle
  • Oval Maidan
  • Bombay High Court
  • Churchgate Station

From Gothic architecture, to Art Deco, South Bombay has a lot to offer, and what better way than an open bus tour to see it all?
