The EPS Govt Is a Benami Govt of Sasikala, Says Stalin

Disgruntled with the result of the trust vote on Saturday, DMK Executive President, MK Stalin said he along with other DMK legislators sat underneath Gandhi’s statue at Marina Beach as a mark of protest.

The Speaker can expel individual members by name, he cannot target an entire party. This is against Assembly laws.

All DMK legislators had been evicted from the Assembly, and by extension, from casting their vote when they began to disrupt parliament, asking for a secret ballot.

We have asked for an appointment with the President to submit a report on what happened in the Assembly. The Edappadi Palaniswami government is a benami government of Sasikala.

Clarifying that their protest was not violent, he said:

Violence is if I hit someone and they hit me back. How can you call our protest in the Assembly violence?
