An 11-year-old girl from Pakistan took upon the task of imparting wisdom to Prime Minister Narendra Modi right after his party emerged victorious in the recent Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
Sending a two-page handwritten letter from across the border, Class V student Aqeedat Naveed congratulated the PM on his win and urged him to “take steps towards friendship and peace” if he wants to “win more Indian and Pakistani hearts”.
“We will not buy bullets, will buy books,” she goes on to write following young activist Malala Yousafzai’s footsteps.
The letter reads:
A prime minister of a nation may have their Cabinet or set of advisers to assist them in their manoeuvres, but Aqeedat earlier, too, has brought up crucial issues that require immediate attention. According to a Hindustan Times report, she highlighted the plight of the Sikhs in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province to Pakistani PM Nawaz Sharif.
She even lauded Pakistan’s chief of army staff Qamar Javed Bajwa for launching an operation against terrorists.
