Prime Minister Narendra Modi defended his government’s move of demonetising Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes yet again on Tuesday, but this time he used a medical metaphor at the Lok Sabha in his reply to the Motion of Thanks on President Pranab Mukherjee's address.

Obviously, his cheeky defence didn’t go down to too well among the Twitteraties. If the body is healthy, why is an operation required right?

"The earthquake finally occurred," Prime Minister Narendra Modi also said during the same address, while referring to last night's tremors in north India which he used to take a dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his comments made earlier.
Gandhi had said in December that he possessed certain materials against the Prime Minister and if he spoke in Parliament, there would be an "earthquake".
