When the confusion dried out after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s sudden announcement banning Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currencies, the jokes, the sarcasm and the anger came in.

No doubt, AIB was one of the first ones to come up with a hilarious response.

Then came the “intolerance debate” sarcasm.

There was also a comparison with Indira Gandhi’s emergency.

The reactions were incomplete without a comparison of Modi with Mohammad Bin Tughlak.

Brands had to make most of the opportunity.

Many people lauded Modi for this step against black money and corruption.
