Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal who had earlier met Najeeb’s family condemned the ABVP ideologue and said that ‘goondagardi’ is a part of the right wing leadership.

The message is clear, that RSS and BJP’s ‘goodagardi’ is a part of India’s leadership. Anybody raising a voice against this will become anti-national. Don’t make the mistake of considering Najeeb to be a Muslim. BJP is not a true respresentation of all Hindus. The Patidars are Hindus, the OBCs are Hindus. Look at what they’ve done to Ramkrishan Grehwal. The BJP doesn’t represent the Hindus or the Muslims. We have already written to Rajnath Singh, we will meet the Prime Minister too.

JNU Admin Cannot be Entrusted with the Probe

Addressing the students of JNU, senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor said that a serious investigation needs to be conducted on those who have been accused of assaulting Najeeb Ahmed.

Something happened on the nights of 14-15 October that cause the disappearance. No one vanishes for 20 days without a reason, that reason has to be established. There has to be a serious investigation and sadly it goes beyond what this university’s administration can be trusted with. The police have some questions to answer.

His criticising remark on the inefficiency of the JNU administration were hailed by slogans of “Shame, shame!” from the students.

Despite announcing a reward of Rs 1 Lakh, Delhi Police haven't been able to recover any information on Najeeb.

Moreover, the JNU Teachers' Association claimed that in its bulletin on the incident, the university had omitted the episode of the scuffle entirely.

To mark the 20th day, the JNU Students' Union has organised a solidarity meet on Thursday at the Administrative Block, along with several other representatives, JNUTA and JNUSA.

The meet is being attended by Najeeb's family, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Congress leaders Mani Shankar Aiyar and Shashi Tharoor, and CPI (M) leader Prakash Karat.
